The Press is Free in the Philippines

It was in late August 2010 that I have received the order from my supervisor that I am to be assigned in Urdaneta, Pangasinan.

It was just few days since Quirino Grandstand Hostage Crisis which was aired globally. It was pain in my throat, but still I have to swallow the shame of having this crisis being a Filipino. Proud Filipino.

My two weeks stay in Urdaneta Pangasinan, caught my attention to the Philippine Free Press Magazine. It was featured in one of its article about the topic, the bile in my stomach - the Quirino Grand Stand Massacre.

To keep the story short, this Magazine wake my inner thoughts and still makes me proud being a Filipino. Finally, Just today, I finally saw the Philippine Free Press online.

Well, the incident in the Quirino Grandstand, I am not taking it from the press, but I believe they have played the vital role in giving blow by blow account of the hostage.
