Budget Variances. . .

Talking about variances... these are things shown in the management reports at year end.

Reports that will reflect Management's performance for a given period and your boss may give you a handshake and a thumbs-up saying: Congratulations! You made it for a higher post next year!

or, just close your reports and ask you: anong nangyari?

Plain tagalog, just for you to understand clearly. looking at you straight to the eyes, trying to squeeze out from you a miracle that somehow, will change those variances in the report.

This will determine how good a manager you are, and during the year, before reports are constructed and validated, you and your team should be working on these stuffs.

Quote: "Show me a man who is a good loser and I'll show you a man who is playing golf with his boss" - Jim Murray.

Remember using two applications at the same time, having audit of all accounts (not doing your risk based approach), is not only time consuming, inefficient, will give you budget variances, and will give you a ---- appreciation from your boss and tell you: anong nangyari?

As well from your staff. think about it.

Palabs palabas!

Watching Television right now at night is often to be observed mostly during tax and school season.

These are the things that I accept the way reality hits me. Acceptance is somehow a defense mechanism that allows you to lessen the pain in something that you do not want to admit.

"sirang sira na talaga ang KULTURANG PILIPINO"

As we can now watch in the televisions are korean novellas and fanta-serye which nothing give our children of today much values that the Filipino Society needs.

I repeat Filipino Society.

baduy ba?

Happy Teachers Day!

Today,October 15, 2010 in the Philippines is Momentous and eventful day, for we declare it Teachers' Day - well, as a way to say thank you and recognize our teachers for their important role in the society and most importantly to each and everybody's life.

For me, As I sit in a bus, traversing the EDSA going to work, I smile and recall vividly the faces of my teachers from preparatory to high School, and the Professors who always gave me tons of reason to be proud of them, wherever I may be.

As a CPA, who would have known that Mathematics up to first year was my weakess and hated subject, ever! and non of my angels have told me that it would be my life, that I'd be working with numbers up to my present life, and having a license because of it.

When I was in grade one, I encountered for the first time the very strict teacher and adviser of mine who also, first gave me a failing grade in Mathematics and to cry when finishing Rizal and he is about to leave his Family and to study in Manila. Mrs. Almero, Thank You so much and may your soul rest-in-peace.

When I was in grade 2, that was my first time to be punished inside the room with my pants-off, well it was great because I asked for it! hehehe. kid's stuff and sorts, thank You and God Bless to my class adviser, Mrs Panciles, God Bless You and Your Family.

Having the most of the lessons was in grade 3, where I learned to tell to my crush how I felt for her, well like this writing it in the black board "Leiann, I have crash on you" hehehe. well thank you and God Bless to my class adviser Mrs. Laxamana for everything, I salute you with most honor!

Knowing your teacher to have her colony on the School, means that she's your alas! Having a School Bus Driver, a playmate, a kuya as such. and most to learn hypothetical jokes from her that will really make you laugh, to understand the lesson in Filipino about panghalip, pangalan, panaguri and such, and to knwo valuable lesson on how to respect your fellowmen; thank You to Mrs Bernales, May God bless you and your entire family as they are closed to me as you have been closed to my family.

To Ms Rivera as I always call her, she always inspire me in going to school as she has been the so-called teacher crush during my days in grade 5, thank you for teaching us self-respect and the value of speaking English, I'm deeply sorry that I did not pay attention to you when you are speaking in front. God Bless you and your family, specially your lovely kids! whom you always wish could have qualities like mine. hehehe. thank you so much!

Thank You to my adviser in Grade 6, whom I already forgot her name, I also salute her for opening my mind to society as she always advices us with lessons on how to dwell with our fellowmen and the value of justice and peace, probably one of the reason why sometimes I think politically.

To all the High School Teachers, thank you so much and I love you all!

Thank You aswell to my Professors in College, you are so many to be told, but you will always be part of my life, heart, and my memory! thank you so much and I Love You all!

I would like to give special mention to my Profs and Teachers who are very special and close to me:

1. Mrs. Jeanith Mano-Muelio - you change my life to love numbers
2. Mr. Erwin "Paeng" Rafael - you have been my inspiration in accounting
3. Mr. Samy Raz Ng - Trigonomotry and Algebra has never been hard for me, thank you for giving me the knocks!
4. My High School teacher in english, im deeply sorry I have forgot your name, thank you for making me cry when my head starts to go bigger!
5. Mr. Joseph Lopez, thank you for the history and about Rizal, the fave hero of mine. thank you!
6. To my Accounting Professor's your the best!

UAAP!

When I was reading one of the comments in facebook, I certainly could not agree anymore when they said that UAAP is one of the hottest sports event every year, driven by the media, the UAAP Mens Basketball for Senior Division.

One of the comments there is from the green and gold, who is reacting on the other the comments from the white and blue. a gist of it goes something like this:

Blue and White: lets face reality that unlike UP, Ateneo and La Salle. FEU will not have the best opportunity in having a job after they graduated from college. So sa Finals hinay hinay lang.

Green and Gold: and yabang mu naman, anung job ba sa tingin mo capable ang mga skul na pinagsasabi mo? what other future you may think makikita mo with the way you speak? ang yabang mo!

Well, it is hard to tell and contradict to either party. but guys, let's be reminded that UAAP is only a sporting event. after the final buzzer, win or lose, the pride of its school depends how we, as a student did our part, antebellum and upto the end. Sports is what we, as a person, see it,

kumbaga, walang personalan, sports lang!

God bless to both teams in the UAAP finals, may the true heart of a champion prevails!
