2013 reflection: A lot of my countrymen always say that the Government does not support Filipino Inventions. Yes Perfectly True.
. . .And I see that we, its people are not supporting the Filipino products as well.
We are always amazed with the way we see our countrymen improved a lot of things in their life and the inventions that we all know can help them improve our lives as Filipinos and we point out immediately to the Government how un-supportive they are in not recognizing these local talents and not helping them on their research.
Well, looking on other perspective when the great people in the West had developed their products like Steve Jobs's Macintosh, Bill Gates's Microsoft, Henry Ford's Motor (Which was even antagonize by the Government), Andrew Carnegie's Steel Mill had their start in difficult situations of their own.
But you see, even in difficult situations their products was patronized by their own countrymen!
In ending 2013, I am doing this reflection during quiet times and commemorating Rizal's Death yesterday, December 30, we are not really fully independent in our own beliefs. From head-to-toe most of us will still prioritize foreign brands from our own products.
Now you see a lady in Starbucks Coffee with her iPhone, her iPad and her iMac in the table sipping her iCoffee (pun not intended for the brand) and you know she rides jeepney in and our of her rented apartment near the slums where snatchers are waiting for her.
Now, it is true that we don't get much support from the Government, but do we also have support from our countrymen in using Pinoy products? are you even proud of it?

I die without seeing dawn’s light shining on my Country. .

the nighttime. (Rizal in Noli Me tangere).
